Since we used Fusion (or Vision) as our standard image viewer (it was associated with every image format extension that Fusion supported), we needed to have it load as quickly as possible.Īnyway, thanks for bringing up some fun memories with your technical issue. We had an automated system that pulled plugins (and scripts and such) locally whenever you ran Fusion.exe, so developers could push updates to the server but the local machines would update when they ran Fusion, but if the plugin copying was too slow, it didn't prevent the user from launching Fusion. Sapphire Plug-ins version 2.07 is now available for: Adobe After Effects Autodesk Combustion Eyeon Fusion Quantel with Synapse Whats new on Windows in 2.07: A problem with thresholds in Glow, Glint, Glare and Convolve is. Stuart once said to me (on the way to a bar) "Why do your bug reports say you're running FusionReal.exe?" I was impressed that he actually read my bug reports (the ones that Fusion submit(ed)(s) automatically when you generated a dump), but I had to explain that we created our own dummy executable named Fusion.exe that launched FusionReal.exe, which was just Fusion.exe renamed, so that the OS wouldn't lock plugins and we could overwrite them while Fusion was running. I have been trying to make an easier installer for a while but haven't been able to find a durable solution. I had to do this workaround because the installer can't overwrite the existing file if Fusion is running.
